Be Pleasantly Surprised with Veuve du Vernay Sparkling Wine

If you are looking for a sparkling wine for occasions where you’d like some special bubbly but the budget won’t let you splurge, consider Veuve du Vernay. A French sparkling wine for around the $12-$15 price range, it lives well above its price.

Expect nice sweetness – many women especially like this sparking wine. There is fruitiness to the flavor; Veuve Vernay is great to serve with desserts including fruits. Cakes such as pound cake compliment it as well. Don’t restrict it to dessert, however. Chicken dishes and seafood also go well with the wine.

The price may be misleading. Many people expect a much less interesting bubbly, but are pleasantly surprised when they try it. Veuve du Vernay is readily available at many wine and liquor stores. It makes a great gift if you have an occasion that calls for a bottle.

It is very close to a champagne, but, of course, cannot be called one because it was not made in the region of Champagne, France.

Give it a try – it just may become a staple in your household.
